Title: Upgraded from 1.5.24 to 1.6.06 and have a few questions
Post by: tay666 on August 14, 2019, 01:37:09 am
I successfully did the upgrade, and things seem to be working.
But I have a few questions after running the version check.

First of all at the top of the page it says

lt_string(21) "albums/edit/index.php"
NULL
string(6) "1.5.24"
string(6) "1.6.03"
lt_string(16) "albums/index.php"
NULL
string(6) "1.5.24"
string(6) "1.6.03"
lt_string(25) "albums/userpics/index.php"
NULL
string(6) "1.5.24"
string(6) "1.6.03"
lt_string(14) "anycontent.php"
NULL
string(6) "1.5.24"
string(6) "1.6.03"

Does any of that mean anything.

Second of all, I still have a few outdated files. How do I upgrade them?
albums/edit/index.php
albums/index.php
albums/userpics/index.php
anycontent.php

There were a few other things the version check said to remove which I did.
I was just curious about how to handle these things, as I really have very little idea what I am doing.

You can manually replace those 4 files, if you would like (or change the version number in the files).  Or you can just ignore those version check messages.

How would I go about replacing them with updated versions?

(if I'm gonna upgrade, I might as well get it all done)

Those files are pretty much insignificant. Though there isn't a convenient download method, you can get them here (https://github.com/coppermine-gallery/cpg1.6.x).

Thank you.
I just navigated to each file I needed and used 'save link as'.
Then uploaded each file to the correct directory.
Less than 5 minutes and everything is all cleaned up now.

Time to back it all up now.
