Title: Photo gallery adaptability
Post by: tomskafo on April 07, 2019, 06:37:41 pm
Hello! I updated the gallery from version 1.5.46 to 1.6.06, but it doesn’t compress photos. Pages with do not decrease on small screens of phones.
Search engines are now demanding mobile and responsive pages from websites that are compressed into small phone screens. And if the pages are not compressed - the site takes a very bad position, poorly visible in search engines, poorly indexed.
Question: Is it possible to make photo gallery 1.6.06 adaptive and mobile, with collapsing pages and images?
And is it planned to release a gallery in the future, which will be fully adaptive and mobile?

Alas, the photos are not compressed in this mobile theme. Try to reduce the browser window in the browser - a large photo “leaves” the browser abroad, but does not shrink as it shrinks on the adaptive pages of forums and websites.
Try reducing the browser's browser window to the very minimum, for example, here: http://fialka.tomsk.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?t=37298

And you will see how the photos are reduced to a minimum with the page. Compressed scale of photos.
But as long as I see that the “Mobile Light theme” cannot make large photos small, the images are not compressed.

You can try this theme (https://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,79594.msg385872.html#msg385872). I am close to being able to post an update to it that does not use bootstrap and is a little more complete.

ron4mac, thanks, this is what need! More precisely, this is still the best of all that I saw.
