Is this upgrade still possible in one step?
Or ist the first step upgrade to 1.5x and then upgrade to 1.6x?
My coppermine 1.4x workdes till very good, without problems for about 9 or ten years.
But no PHP5.5 and 5.6 ist out. And I have to update this to Version 7. I installed a version 1.6x on PHP7.3.2 and it work very fine.
But without the pictures and users in my 1.4x. Its just a testversion.
So, how can I update it?

You must first upgrade to 1.5.48 and then to 1.6.xx.

Where can exactly see which version is installed? In know ist was 1.4.x but i don't know what x ist exactly.
Can you just tell me how an update is to do?

You should be OK from any version of 1.4x to 1.5x
An easy way to check which version you are using is to provide a link and we can tell you.

According to your source code, it's Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.4.27
You can also check by clicking Config, it'll tell you near the top of that page.

no I installeda testinstallation of my 1.4.27 CPG on one of my servers and updated it to 1.5.48.

I did my update.php.
Is the next step just like the update from 1.4x to 1.5.48?
Just copy the 1.6 folder in the folder /extfdagalerie on the server, by saving the /include/config.in.php and anycontent.php and then the update.php?

Now i started the update.php once more after copying the 1.6 folder an everything works fine.
