Title: [Solved]: How to have a hyper standalone coppermine?
Post by: lbondon on July 13, 2004, 04:14:57 pm
My question can be ridiculous but I would like to have your help concerning one of my question.

I have coppermine on a local computer (database and environment). I put there all my pictures. It represent 2 Go  of data...

I would like to be able to burn a dvd to some friends so that they will be able to look at all the pictures with the similar interface as coppermine.

Is there a way/trick to put all the required files on a dvd and to run then the same kind of gallery (on windows os and/or others?) ?

Thank you in advance for your help

Laurent

There's no html export tool available yet (although it has been requested before), so I suggest you use a website copier / offline browser suite like HTTrack (http://www.httrack.com/) that will create an html version of your website (wether it's on your local pc or on a real www server) you can easily burn to a dvd.

P.S. Indexing a large gallery with httrack can become very time-consuming; you better temporarily remove all meta-albums (last upload etc.) before creating your offline copy.
