Title: Re-sorting an album
Post by: ricks on May 18, 2017, 07:22:52 pm
I have an album of several thousands pics. They are all named <yyyymmdd>-filename, and when I uploaded them they all uploaded in order, and then display in order.

I just uploaded several hundred more pics to the album, and they all (unsurprisingly) display at the bottom. I want to resort the album by filename, and moving several hundred pics one at a time to the right location is impractical.

Is there a way to resort an album by filename within the web interface? If not, can someone point me to a SQL command to do that within phpmyadmin?

Thanks!

There are numerous ways to sort images and albums outlined in the docs http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/admin_menu.htm#sort_my_pictures

These can also be overridden by the user clicking the sort buttons in the front end.

Setting the default sort order for files to "Filename" should do the trick: http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/configuration.htm#admin_thumbnail_default_sortorder
