I'm having issues when uploading/adding on my Coppermine driven gallery http://gallery.wadiuwant.com/
When using http uploads and the suggested settings for upload troubleshooting in place, I get the error message
Critical error
Unable to create thumbnail or reduced size image.
File: /home/wadiuwan/public_html/gallery/db_input.php - Line: 704
Here's the test user account data:
Username: tester
Password: tester
I have been using the attached image taken from my computer as an example to test with.
I originally submitted a request "Batch Add Files does add the files" http://http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,78081.0.html
I didn't receive any advice on what to do.
I have no idea what else to do.

The error you are seeing is usually a file permissions problem, either ownership or permissions have changed on your /albums directory.

As far as I can test and set all the permissions are 755. And the ownership hasn't changed.

I am still sure there is a permissions problem. Check your server logs or ask your host to check. The script is trying to create files and folders but the server is rejecting the request hence your error. You could temporarily try 777, but what may have happened is that the folder is owned by the ftp user and for some reason your host has changed write permissions for that user.

I will check with my host. One thing that doesn't explain is the radar icon when the photo files were seen Coppermine.

Until single file uploads are working there is little point in considering what to do about the batch upload process.

The reply from the host was as follows:
I checked the error logs and didn't see anything stand out, and your permissions all look fine as well.
You can use file manager through cPanel to change the permissions for the directory and files, although they look correct at 755 for directories and 644 for files.

OK. The problem was that the "Method for resizing images" in File Settings under the Config was set to Imagemagick, which apparently was not set properly on my host. Setting "Method for resizing images" to GD version 2.x solved the problem.
Thanks to my host for its help and thanks to Phill Luckhurst for identifying the problem/solution.
If I need Imagemagick, I'll let the forum know how it goes.
