It would be interesting to gallery users can post your photos and make the online edition inserting a watermark and the photo of the author's name and might be a credit bar created as watermark and within that bar the name the author.

I do not think is possible what you ask.
Ask on http://stackoverflow.com/ (http://stackoverflow.com/) if you can do php script that does what you want.
Then if that is possible then you can return to the forum to ask how to use the code in coppermine.

There are mods around that do on the fly watermarks. Never been a fan of them myself as the original file is still available to those who look. In addition on busy sites it can put quite a load on a server. Obviously there are the built in watermark tools supplied with Coppermine but not sure those are what this poster is looking for.

I think he wants a dynamic watermark that watermarks the image with the user name of the uploader (images will be watrmark with users 1 if is upoaded by user 1, with users 2 if is upoaded by user 2 and with the users website link. For the website he can make a custom field named Add your website link and the watermark to add even the custom field of each image.
I am not sure what he wants myself, but I think I got it right.
True, on busy sites it can put quite a load on a server.

My mistake:
1. Is a feature request. I did not notice that.
2. I'm sure I'm not good at that.
3. If he really likes to have that he can pay a developer to do it if no one can help( post in Looking for Freelancers / Paid help section of the forum or search a web developer ).

I use Software Coppermine since 2004, always liked the feature that it has.
My site is dedicated to my hobby without profit and there is several employees and so I get dozens of photos daily, since the description in the picture with the watermark and the photo of the author's name do in a photo editor and do the photo gallery substitution through plugin.
As there is already the brand feature of water in Coppermine, I consido to edit the blue bar with the logo of my site.
Necessecitava just lock the cutting width = 766 height = 506 with zoom option in order to frame the bus in the picture and after cutting have another eagle watermark option being a field to enter the photo of the author's name.
This option in Coppermine is possible, employees of my website will do the editing of the photos on line needing, waiting just apravoção one of the administrators

So what information do you want to add to the picture file? Name of the uploader, something else?

Should be quite easy to implement. Not sure if this is a candidate for a core code feature, but probably good for a plugin.
