Title: Some problems(url, right click) some nice thoughts
Post by: DefenceTalk.com on October 20, 2003, 03:59:49 am
First some thoughts and then don't forget the problems part, please.

********
First of all let me thank Gaugau and the dev team for bringing this great software back on. Thank you guys. I have been using coppermine since march and its getting better. Im sure with introduction of next version and new features-it will attract more people.

I don't know how you guys choose "testers" but I would like to test out the next version when ever it comes out.

-------

I finally upgraded our pictures gallery (http://www.defencetalk.com/pictures).

Problem:

URL for the picture doesn't work. It skips the "coppermine gallery" instead it displays something like this:

http://www.defencetalk.com/displayimage.php?pos=-105

Where as it should be something like this:

http://www.defencetalk.com/pictures/displayimage.php?pos=-105

I wanted to figure out this on my own but I am little busy with other stuff on the site... so if someone please help me with this.

Problem 2:

This is not that big of a problem but it would great if I can solve it... if we can't don't sweat it. Its okay.

The right click option... it should be enabled when right clicking on the pictures but not when right click on text, etc. It sounds more like a suggestion than a problem/break fix. But oh well.

--------
Another concern:

I have fav mod installed for PHPbb, phpbb user database works fine with coppermine... I would like to incoperate phpbb favs with coppermine favs... So say when user adds some topic to his fav lists... in column side by side or row under the fav topics he should see his fav pics. I don't have a slightest idea how this would be done. If anyone has this info, i would like to hear about it. Please. If not, then don't worry about it.

Thats all for now, thanks for reading all this and thanks for any help you may offer. :)

Works fine for me (meaning that the correct URL is passed . . . except that I'm not registered for your site...)  perhaps it's in your registration verification code?

Okay, fixed the problem.

Its: Target address for the 'See more pictures' link in e-cards < this needs to be url to the gallery if its something else the gallery would show url for that.... !!!

Example:

Before I had www.defencetalk.com < and thats why it was skipping the /pictures/ directory and just displaying www.defencetalk.com/displayimage.php>so on and so forth...

Then I changed to www.defencetalk.com/forums and the URL for the pic came up something like this:
http://www.defencetalk.com/forums/displayimage.php?pos=-1025

 HUH???

That ain't right. So, it has to be link to your directory: www.defencetalk.com/pictures

:)
