Oh my... we just discovered that users can create their own albums. We've search the instruction manual and looked for an option to make it so users can't create albums and can't find where to turn that function off!
Help!
-
Click Users > Groups
Under the the personal gallery column set the relevant group to "Allowed" No
Click "Apply Changes" at bottom.
-
Hi,
Thanks, but that didn't work.
I'm testing it with a non-admin account right now and when I go to My Profile I can add an album.
I need that turned off.

Please attach a screengrab of your groups settings please

Here's a screenshot
Thanks!

Please post a link, turn on debug mode for everyone and a test user account.

For some reason can_create_public_albums is set to 1. I don't see a problem in the group manager so, use a tool like phpMyAdmin to manually change that value to 0 in your CONFIG table.
-
ok, I'm looking in phpMyAdmin...
is this option missing there?
I can't find it.
See screenshots...
did something not upload correctly with my install?
-
I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking it isn't set there. Let me look around a bit.
-
Go to your category manager and make sure none of the categories are set to allow registered members to create albums.
-
Oh my goodness! It looks like that fixed it!
You are so awesome I could kiss you!
Thanks so very much! I thought I was going insane!!!
Blessings to you Jeff!
