Knowing virtually nothing about search engines, except how to use them, can someone please explain what I am supposed to see after installing the plugin 'Search Engine Friendly URLs (sef_urls): v1.8'.
I realise that there may be problems with it, as stated in the caveat but I can't say whether mine is working or not when I don't know what it is supposed to do :-[.
The .htaccess file appears to have installed OK and I have altered the RewriteBase parameter as suggested elsewhere.
If anyone can enlighten me (in words of one syllable!) as to what this plugin does, and what I should be seeing, I should be most grateful.
Many thanks.
John.
Using version 1.5.20 URL is www.jjsphotos.co.uk

Topic: SEF_URLs plugin for cpg1.5.x:
http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,42568.html
It changes your urls to something like:
http://www.jjsphotos.co.uk/cpgallery/displayimage-7-25.html
instead of:
http://www.jjsphotos.co.uk/cpgallery/displayimage.php?album=7&pid=25

Many thanks, Jeff.
It is indeed working.
Thanks again.
John.
