What exactly do you mean with "put links"? I guess you want to embed YouTube clips (i.e. upload and display them like pictures)?
-
Yes Andre, that is what I mean.

I already created and shared a plugin for video embedding. You can find it here: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,60195.0.html

Hi Andre
I put the plugin into the site but I still cant get it working.
When I upload the text link to coppermine it changes the file.
eg if i upload example.youtube , it changes to example_youtube.txt
Where am I going wrong?
If you have time to look at it for me I will pay you as per first post.
Thanks in advance

Seems that you setup your file manager to hide known file extensions. It means that the file you'll upload is named
example.youtube.txt
but it is displayed to you as
example.youtube
Coppermine automatically replaces every dot (expect the last one) with underscores. The result is what you get:
example_youtube.txt
All you have to do is to disable hiding the file extensions and rename the file properly before you upload it to Coppermine.
