Title: view count and thumbnail view problems
Post by: Dankriss on January 06, 2012, 08:07:41 am

Ok I have 2 problems both to do with the Last updated albums strip...

I have deleted the pictures in an album and reset the counter in both admin and the normal album properties but it still shows the old count.

I am also changing the thumbnail view for the album in the album properties but it is not changing in the strip.

It is not to do with the cache because other users are seeing the same and I have also cleared the cache on my computer.

Have no idea what to do next...any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Kriss :)

I assume you're talking about the "Last updated albums" meta album. Below the thumbnail the number of album views are displayed, but you can only reset the picture views in the album properties. I'm currently not sure if there's an interface to reset the album view, but I think it doesn't exist (missing feature). If you want to reset them, you have to do this manually with a tool like PHPMyAdmin. I can also create a small script for you that resets the album view counter for all albums to 0.

Regarding your second issue (please consider our "one question per thread rule" next time), you probably have to reset/delete your cookies.

Tried all the cookie delete stuff and no joy with the second problem....and it is happening with someone else as well I thought it was just me but it looks like it is a universal problem...really strange as it usually works...

As to the script I really need the views on the other albums to stay but thank you for offering.

Btw because it was affecting the same thing thought it might a connected problem rather than to separate problems...sorry.
