Title: newbie having upload problems
Post by: AmyDiane on November 10, 2011, 05:08:45 am
I'm having issues when uploading on my Coppermine gallery at http://www.amydiane.net/coppermine
I have set the file permissions on /albums, /albums/userpics, and /albums/edit to 755
When using http uploads and the suggested settings for upload troubleshooting in place, I get the error message:

Error
No file was uploaded!
If you have really selected a file to upload, check that the server allows file uploads...

File: /hermes/web10/b2564/moo.amydianenet/coppermine/db_input.php - Line: 564

Here's the test user account data:
    Username: planecharlie
    Password: 01d6uy

I first used an image downloaded from the image taken from http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg15x/displayimage.php?album=2&pid=5#top_display_media to test with.
That picture (580 * 435) uploaded fine.

I then tried a more common file size from my hard drive (3072 * 2304), and got the error.

I've checked the forums, and am not quite sure what to do next.

Thanks in advance for your help

Does the flash uploader and/or the batch-add feature work as expected?

Sounds like it's exactly the same issue as described here: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,73898.0.html

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I changed the upload method to multiple files, and the 3072 * 2304 file still won't upload. The error I get is: file too big. I checked the file size limitations in the configuration screen, and it is set for max file size of 2048 KB and max width or height of 5000 pixels. I checked the upload.php file, and the line you refer to in your last post exists, and is properly formatted.

Please disable or increase the disk quota for the test user, but obviously the file you try to upload exceeds the file size limit.
