Title: Error batch adding
Post by: lolainslacks on May 30, 2011, 03:13:43 pm
I'm trying to batch add a folder and when I click it it takes me back to the main gallery page.

The folder name is ps-arts-bag-lunch-sponsored-by-dior-beauty_may-24-11

I've already tried renaming the folder and the pics inside it, the maximum pic size is 700kb. I can batch add other folders, only having problems with this one. I don't know what could be wrong.

Can you help me, please?

Please post a link to your gallery.

If renaming the folder and files to something short and simple (just a few letters and/or digts) and the permissions are correct it might be that your path to the files is too long? Is that folder embedded in some other folders? Please post the whole path from the gallery root.

Where do I get the whole path?

I have folders with longer names than this one and they didn't give me any trouble. :\

The whole path looks like albums/dir1/dir2/.../dirN/filename.extension. But I think it's more likely that there's something wrong with that folder.

You could try different things:
1.) Upload a new file (e.g. a text file) and try to add it to your gallery
2.) Create a new folder, set the permissions accordingly, move some or all of the pictures from your old folder to that new one and try to add them to your gallery

Can you still do that? Or was it just possible until your current issue occured?
