Title: Select more than one album on upload?

I need to be able to select more than one album per file. I know about "the keywords way" but that is not what I'm looking for.

I have searched the forum and documentation but not found anything that can solve this.

Does anyone know if there is any plugin or can someone help me with the necessary hooks to make this plugin?

So you want to store the same file more than one time on your server?

No, but it would be ok if you can do it with only one upload.

What I want is to upload a file only once and be able to choose which albums it will appear in, with a select box or something.

But you don't want to use the album keyword feature to achieve that goal? Or don't you just want apply that feature after you already uploaded a file? I currently don't know if you want to use the album keyword feature at all or not.
