Title: Latest Images Panel?
Post by: stephe1987 on March 04, 2011, 05:20:52 am
I hope I'm posting this in the correct place.

I notice some fan sites have a "latest photos" panel on their home page, which links to the latest images posted in the /gallery/ folder of their sites.

For example, this site has it: http://dakota-fanning.org/
And so does this one: http://fabulous-abigail.org/

Is there some PHP code to post the pictures on a panel on the home page? I have been searching but all the sites I've found so far are either for earlier versions of the gallery (my sites use the latest update of the Gallery) and/or they link to a domain that is no longer there.

Thanks!

I don't know which panels you mean on the referred websites.

The ones that show the latest pictures from the gallery. There is a panel near the top of each website.

It's done differently on those site. The one site uses an iframe, the other seems to use another approach, I assume CPMFetch. Please have a look at the CPMFetch plugin, as it designed to display Coppermine content on external pages.

Cool. Where can I download that from?

Please search the board for "CPMFetch", you'll find threads like http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,65412.0.html

Thanks! I did search first before asking, but...

I did find it on the site. It's in the Downloads section and it's called cpg1.5.x_plugin_fetchcontent_v0.6.zip
And now my sites have latest images on the side panels.
