Title: MiniCMS plugin for cpg1.5.x
Post by: Αndré on November 30, 2010, 05:49:42 pm
This is a port of the cpg1.4.x plugin MiniCMS (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,62339.0.html).

What it does
The MiniCMS plugin is a minimalistic Content Mangement System which allows the gallery admin to add / edit / delete pages. Typically this will be used by people who just want to add a few pages like About, Contact etc to their installs of coppermine but do not want full fledged CMS like Joomla.
It currently includes the ability to create stand-alone pages and add content to any category, album, or intermediate image page.
It has  a WYSIWYG editor which works in IE and Mozilla, and respects the admin rights from Coppermine

Very good job.
Why this plugin does not appears in the list http://coppermine-gallery.net/plugins.php?cpg_version=5&sort=category&submit=#start (http://coppermine-gallery.net/plugins.php?cpg_version=5&sort=category&submit=#start)

Hi!

Got a little problem with this plugin. Upload via ftp was no problem, the plugin is detected in the plugin manager, but I don´t accomplish the minimum requirements and I don´t find any informations about them.

My system:
CPG 1.5.8 (stable)
PHP 5.2.6
MySQL 5.0.51a
MiniCMS (minicms): v2.1
Link: www.edition-steinbach.de

Actually, this should work, or not? Got anyone an idea?

So long...
Pat

Have never used minicms before, but decided to give it a try. Seems to be working without problems but I did get one message line that didn't quite look right when I installed it, this was the message:-

1091: Can't DROP 'pos'; check that column/key exists

Should I be doing anything about it?

http://www.sharpos-world.co.uk/BB3cpg/

Only 1 minicms page entered at present and links from it do work.
Title: Re: MiniCMS plugin for cpg1.5.x
Post by: Αndré on December 06, 2010, 09:20:45 am
I assume it's that line in sql/basic.sql:
Quote
ALTER TABLE `CPG_cms` DROP `pos`;

The column pos should exist, as it has been added some lines before
Quote
ALTER TABLE `CPG_cms` ADD `pos` int(11) NOT NULL default '0';

If everything works fine you can just ignore that message.

through mini cms I inserted a table and where there are empty cells are automatically filled with symbols of small squares. I thank those who can explain what may be the cause.

Hi all,

first the link to my Gallery : http://flyaway-photopassion.zxq.net/Gallery/

I've uploaded the plugin MiniCMS and I've installed it.

Now, it seems to have a problem ... I mean, I can create a new article, but when I want to edit it, I think that edit commands are missing.

See images on attachment.

And thanks for help.

Regards.

Doesn't happen in my local testbed. Please post the source code of your table.

Works as expected in my local testbed. You have to enable JavaScript to use the FCKeditor. Also make sure you've uploaded all plugin files.

You can also try the following. Disable temporary JavaScript in your browser. That way you won't use FCKeditor to edit your section, but a 'regular' HTML form. Try again if the issue still happens without FCKeditor (which made some trouble for me in cpg1.5.x).

Thanks for this plug-in, it seems a truly excellent tool.

I managed to install it with  no problems, created a table and saved it.

I tried to find information on how to show the table I created under MiniCMS in an Album Description, to no avail.  Every search, I end up being asked to go to cpg-contrib.org, which seems to be gone.  Anyone can point me to the right way please ?

Thanks.

Just use the edit button on the appropriate page. They'll be displayed on every page you can MiniCMS for the admin. Another option would be to insert the correct id, but that's not the recommend way.

If you want to display it on the index.php page, add an article with type 'cat' and content '0'.

It goes off from everywhere when I put it under Cat, Section or Thumb Type with Content 0, and when I put it under Img Type it shows on all the pages. I tried changing value of Content but it loops back to 0. I did delete all the text contents I had before and created new one, but didn't help.   ???

Please try to create new content with the MiniCMS rows displayed on every page instead of creating them with the MiniCMS admin page. You don't need to set type/content in that case. If you want I'll send you a PM with my email address where you can send your admin login data, so I can have a look at your issue on your gallery.

Here's what I found out.

When you add a new MiniCMS entry, it always uses 'type=2', which is the 'img' type. The pre-population of that value is determined in include/init.inc.php:
Code: [Select]
if (defined('DISPLAYIMAGE_PHP')) {
    $MINICMS['type']=$MINICMS['conTypebyName']['img'];
} elseif (defined('THUMBNAILS_PHP')) {
    $MINICMS['conid']=isset($request['album']) ? (int)$request['album'] : -1;
    $MINICMS['type']=$MINICMS['conTypebyName']['thumb'];
} elseif (isset($request['file']) && $request['file'] =='minicms/cms') {
    if (isset($request['id'])) {
        $MINICMS['ID']=(int)$request['id'];
        $MINICMS['conid']='';
        $MINICMS['type']='';
    } else {
      $MINICMS['conid']=(int)$request['conid'];
      $MINICMS['type']=(int)$request['type'];
    }
} else {
    $MINICMS['conid']=isset($request['cat']) ? (int)$request['cat'] : 0;
    $MINICMS['type']=$MINICMS['conTypebyName']['cat'];
}

I wasn't able to reproduce that behavior in my testbed, even when I installed the same plugins like you. Do you use some modifications? Was your gallery an upgrade from cpg1.4.x? What happens if you uninstall all plugins but MiniCMS?

Update:

I un-installed the MiniCMS and installed it back with new files, but same result. I didn't uninstall my other plugins on my site yet, but I installed a Test Bed, and MiniCMS is the only plugin and it seems to be working fine right now. I will try to install more plugins and list then here later with final result/findings. Thanks a lot for your help Andre.

Andre, I installed all plugins (MiniCMS, EnlargeIT, Who is Online, Link Target, Keyboard Navigation, NewsLetter, etc) in my Test Bed that I was using in my Main CPG along with the same Timoswelt theme, and found the reason for MiniCMS' type changing to 'IMG' by default instead of 'CAT'.

It is because of EnlargeIT PlugIn's Buttons Section's Show button Info's "Yes: Open as AJAX snippet". This option allows the viewer to see file info within the same AJAX Box of Enlarged pic using EnlargeIT Plugin.

Hope to see a fix about this soon.

"EnlargeIt! AJAX GUI for CPG 1.5.x" is another must have PlugIn guys, but its a very small conflict so you can use it  :). Announcement Thread: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,57424.0.html

Thanks André, great Plugin.

When I edit/make a new entry, I always get an error message "Unbekanntes Menüleisten-Objekt "UniversalKey"" (eng: Unknown menu item "UniversalKey"). I can simply confirm this message and continue as normal. The behaviour occurs in Opera 11 as well as in FF 3.6.

Hello,

I'm also being told that my installation doesn't meet the minimum requirements. I've spent hours going round and round in circles trying to fix it, but feel that I've actually made the situation worse.

I installed minicms this morning and discovered I had not removed the database tables from a previous installation and the plugin didn't appear to like this. When I tried to edit cms I got the following error Fatal error: Cannot redeclare cpggetmicrotime

I deleted the database tables, reinstalled the plugin and got a list of actions that suggested the site was struggling to set up the database (possibly because it wasn't compatible with my coppemine installation). I discovered there was a newer version of the plugin 2.1 and hoped this would fix the error, but after installing I started getting the minimum requirement message.

The only suggestion I've found is too install the latest version of coppermine. I was already running that, but reinstalled it anyway just to make sure nothing was wrong, but no change.

I'm sure I'm missing something very simple, but I've run out of my own suggestions, so would appreciate any help available.

My site is www.darktea.co.uk and the debug mode is currently on in case it is useful.

Thank you for your help.

Works as expected in my testbed. Please check configuration.php, the line
Code: [Select]
$plugin_cpg_version = array('min' => '1.5.10');defines the minimum version requirement.

Thank you Αndré, I finally got there.

The code in configuration.php was wrong (see below) so I updated it with your code.

Code: [Select]
$plugin_cpg_version = array('min' => '1.4', 'max' => '1.4.99');
However, I still had a problem when I tried to install the plugin and got messages such as "Can't DROP 'pos'; check that column/key exists". After spending time going round and round again, I finally solved it by deleting the minicms files and the database tables and then reinstalling the minicms files.

Thank you again for your help, it was certainly the key in solving my problem.

I upload the file to the Spanish language. Thank you very much!

VEGA, please try what happens if you set
Code: [Select]
FCKConfig.HtmlEncodeOutput = true ;to
Code: [Select]
FCKConfig.HtmlEncodeOutput = false ;in plugins > minicms > fckeditor > fckconfig.js

Clear your browser cache to ensure that the changes will be taken into account.

I had the same problem.

The two opened galleries in the same browser, firefox 6

The installation in the gallery without the problem was a new installation.
The gallery that had the problem was an upgrade from CPG 1.4.27

In the gallery that had the problem I followed your recommendation and the problem was solved.

thanks

Okay, I figured it out.  In the sql file "TYPE" MUST be changed to "ENGINE" and then it will install correctly.  Maybe this will help someone else out.

Version 2.2 (attached to initial post) fixes that issue.

I noticed yesterday that the text box for MiniCMS was not displaying correctly when adding or editing text. It only happened with Firefox, not with Internet Explorer. I was gathering "evidence" as an example, and when I checked to see the version of Firefox I was using, it said a new version was available - which I downloaded, and the problem has now gone.

Seems problem was with Firefox 17.0 as the version I now have is 17.0.1

This what it looked like:-
<p>All recent updates are listed in my <a href="http://www.sharpos-world.co.uk/blog/">blog</a>. Since 2011, <a href="http://my.vidahost.com/aff.php?aff=744"><input type="image" align="absBottom" longdesc="undefined" alt="Vidahost.com image" src="http://www.vidahost.com/images/ab/80by15a.jpg" /></a> has been my host and the images are loading much faster. For 10% discount on hosting, use code:- <span style="font-size: larger;"><strong>vh-10</strong></span></p>

and now showing correctly:-
"All recent updates are listed in my blog. Since 2011, has been my host and the images are loading much faster. For 10% discount on hosting, use code:- vh-10"

http://www.sharpos-world.co.uk/cpg/

So if anybody else has a similar problem, check your Firefox version. Hope this may help somebody, as I was searching for answers yesterday but found nothing.

"Fatal Error

Where there may be a problem, cpg version 1.5.22 ??

Problem solved.
Plugin in my database "sql" failed to create table "cms". So for this purpose I used cpg new installation on a test server, there minicms plugin installed and exported tables "cms", which is then imported the old database to the "sql".

There remains another problem, the plugin does not work in the search menu and I would write instructions for searching.

I get the same error as pasenger above after installation (CPG1.5.20):

Title: Re: MiniCMS plugin for cpg1.5.x
Post by: gmc on December 24, 2013, 03:53:34 pm
Certainly the easiest way to use MiniCMS is to create/edit content on the desired dispaly page, but in re-organizing a gallery, I had the need to 'move' MiniCMS content from the home/index page to a newly created category...
Editing the content on the index page - changing the content number to match the new category number - and submitting the update resulted in the content number being reset to 0 (display on index page...) I found this post previously in this thread that appeared to be same issue:

It goes off from everywhere when I put it under Cat, Section or Thumb Type with Content 0, and when I put it under Img Type it shows on all the pages. I tried changing value of Content but it loops back to 0. I did delete all the text contents I had before and created new one, but didn't help.   ???

In reviewing minicms/cms_edit.php, the code retrieves both type and conid (content number) from the input variables, but never passed the conid in the UPDATE statement.
Changing (line 63 of version 2.2 in my case):
Code: [Select]
$query = "UPDATE {$CONFIG['TABLE_CMS']} SET title = '$title', content = '$content', type = '{$MINICMS['type']}' WHERE ID = '$id'";to:
Code: [Select]
$query = "UPDATE {$CONFIG['TABLE_CMS']} SET title = '$title', content = '$content', type = '{$MINICMS['type']}', conid = '{$MINICMS['conid']}' WHERE ID = '$id'";resolved the issue.

Hopefully will help someone else with same issue... (or can be included as an update...)
Thanks!
Greg

Before I commit this change, is conid always submitted by the form (i.e. is $MINICMS['conid'] always populated)?
Title: Re: MiniCMS plugin for cpg1.5.x
Post by: gmc on December 28, 2013, 02:13:24 am
Reviewing the code - and examining the source of pages for editing both on the displayed pages, and via MiniCMS admin - conid and type are both passed and populated in all cases I can find.

From MiniCMS Admin and editing on displayed page - as well as inserting new content - all post directly to cms_edit.php with conid passed in form data:
Code: [Select]
<form name="post" method="post" action="index.php?file=minicms/cms_edit&amp;referer=index.php%3Ffile%3Dminicms%2Fcms_admin">
...
<td class="row2">
    <input type="text" value="0" class="post" tabindex="3" style="width: 50px;" maxlength="5" name="conid" />
</td>

and in cms_edit.php issuing the updates:
Code: [Select]
if(isset($request['submit']) && $request['submit']==$lang_minicms['submit'] && $request['id'] > -1){
    $MINICMS['conid']=(int)$request['conid'];
    $MINICMS['type']=(int)$request['type'];

Insert code for new items is handled just below the updates - driven when $request['id']=='-1' - and properly inserts the conid value passed in the form.

I believe this is a safe change to commit.
An excellent question to verify... :)

Hello, I have some weird problem when tried to work with MiniCMS.
I can't type anything in the text field when I create a new Content Title, also many of the editor buttons aren't working or when they open a popup and you close it, the whole area of the editor stays with different color as out of focus.

I have a test gallery setup here http://www.greatmusclebodies.com/gallery/ and test account is admin psw qwerty123

Can you try from a different computer or browser?  You might have an issue with a browser plugin?

Hey, thanks! I tried with Opera and Chrome and it wasn't working. On IE I was able to type text but there weren't any of the edit buttons. Seems to work okay in Firefox though. Is this your browser? Now I'll have a different browser for every site, lol. ;D

I was using Firefox...
I can recreate your problem using Chrome...

MiniCMS is packaged with a version of fckeditor that provides the wysiwyg editor. Guessing this is where the issue is...
There is a replacement - ckeditor ckeditor.com (http://ckeditor.com).
Perhaps this can be a simple drop in replacement?

I'll see if I can test this - I have already downloaded/used the new ckeditor elsewhere.

OK... looks like the install didn't create the 'cms' table.
I will guess that the id used for Coppermine to access the database doesn't have the authority to CREATE a table?

Easiest way to get out of this: in a tool like phpMyAdmin - edit the 'plugins' table and delete the row that contains 'minicms'...
That will let you back into the gallery.
Correct the error that caused the CREATE TABLE to fail - and reinstall the plugin.
Title: Re: MiniCMS plugin for cpg1.5.x
Post by: Αndré on October 09, 2014, 09:19:41 am
During the Coppermine installation the MySQL already needed CREATE permissions. So I guess it still has, unless you revoked it.

But I agree with Greg, that re-installing the plugin might solve the issue.

Then you either need to fix the MySQL user's permissions (it needs CREATE, ALTER, INSERT, UPDATE permission) or run the queries in plugins/minicms/sql/basic.sql manually in e.g. phpMyAdmin. Don't forget to replace "CPG_" with your actual database prefix "cpg15x_".

Default table creation for your MySQL must not be MyISAM.
Add ENGINE=MyISAM to the end of the CREATE TABLE statement.
Title: Re: MiniCMS plugin for cpg1.5.x
Post by: gmc on October 14, 2014, 10:16:20 pm
What version of MySQL are you using?
(go to the information tab - phpinfo as admin in Coppermine if you don't know...)

Appears your installation may be trying to create the table as InnoDB... rather than MyISAM..
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/20964269/1214-the-used-table-type-doesnt-support-fulltext-indexes (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/20964269/1214-the-used-table-type-doesnt-support-fulltext-indexes)
Before MySQL 5.6 Full-Text Search is supported only with MyISAM Engine.

Not sure where the default type is specified... You can add ENGINE=MyISAM to the CREATE (see examples at the link provided).

For Devs - Should the engine be specified in plugins creating tables? or what assumptions are made about the users setup?

Should be fine... You might encounter another plugin that uses 'FULLTEXT' - but you know what to do now...
Once your ISP upgrades MySQL to 5.6 (currently 5.5.38) - then you can use innodb for that too...

CKEditor is of course the replacement for FCKeditor that is included in the MiniCMS plugin.

A simple google search on converting finds:
http://docs.cksource.com/CKEditor_3.x/Howto/Upgrade_from_FCKeditor (http://docs.cksource.com/CKEditor_3.x/Howto/Upgrade_from_FCKeditor):
Quote
How do I Upgrade My FCKeditor to the Latest CKEditor Release?

However, since CKEditor was a complete rewrite of FCKeditor, with lots of changes in how the internal stuff works, no automatic upgrade path is available.

Migrating from FCKeditor to CKeditor without changing any code
Here’s a shim to allow you to swap FCKeditor for CKeditor without changing any application code.
(This may be a short term workaround - but the plugin should really be reworked to invoke CKEditor directly in my opinion...)

I've had this on my list to look at - but I haven't had the time to do so yet...

I do realize that it is implemented in version 3. It's about the next version of me. There were made some adjustments that I do not know where they were made. A simple upgrade enough I do not think so. :o

Thanks Phill, thought I would mention it as I find it very useful. Will await developments, no rush as not intending to upgrade 1.5.46 galleries yet.

Would be good if you start a thread with reasons why you cannot upgrade to 1.6 yet. Lists of what extensions people a in need of upgrade helps prioritise things.
