Title: 'browser does not accept cookies' after upgrade
Post by: kapler on November 09, 2010, 12:17:38 am
Hi,

I upgraded from 1.4 -> newest 1.5.
I did not disable any Plug-ins, as I did not enable any during my previous operation.
I really hope this was not a grave error.  All navigation and login is not functional.

Thanks for all your great work.

Tomasz.

Hello again,

My experience with this software has been very good.  It is fast and very convenient for me.

I have structured an interface to relate a novel design of an operating system with a functionally related open Build concept.

I invite the Coppermine community to just see where I'm at with it.

I can not responsibly leave my FTP;
my livelihood depends on this :-(

I really like the design and function of Coppermine and this site both.
In comparison, the tiki wiki I am using is bulky and slow.
I do need a wiki and forums, and it may be best to bridge something with Coppermine.
The business model includes money for open Build effort.

What happens when you try to login using this link (http://www.earthsystemmatter.com/Done/login.php?theme=curve)?

Thank you for your response.

Unfortunately, the same thing happens.
I also replaced the old theme with cpg1.5.x_theme_classic_v1.0

Will I have to convert back to 1.4?
I seem to have deleted the old .zip - do not even remember the exect version.

Please post a (non-admin) test user account.

User: halina
password: tomeczek42

Nothing works, however; there was much content available to guest user as well.

I really hope it's not some hack from hell gone wrong.
Sometime before the upgrade, the user-upload feature stopped working.
I used batch upload anyway, so I didn't even report it.

Please perform an upgrade with the latest svn revision (http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/dev_subversion.htm#dev_subversion_download_tarball).

Your gallery still says
Quote
<!--Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.5.8 (stable)-->
which is not the latest tarball. Make sure to replace all files.

Thank You.
I am getting a little panicked and making mistakes.

Accidently deleted anycontent.php, hopefully that's not a problem; there were to user galleries just the main one.

Also,
did not back up config.inc.php:
* added new user to database (could not recover password)
* ACCESS DENIED

I may be using a wrong convention for the .php:

<?php
// Coppermine configuration file

// MySQL configuration
$CONFIG['dbserver'] =                       'earthsystemmatter.com';        // Your databaseserver
$CONFIG['dbuser'] =                         'tommy';        // Your mysql username
$CONFIG['dbpass'] =                         'xxx';    // Your mysql password
$CONFIG['dbname'] =                         'copp1';        // Your mysql database name

// MySQL TABLE NAMES PREFIX
$CONFIG['TABLE_PREFIX'] =                'earthsys_';
?>

Changed TABLE_PREFIX to 'cpg15x_', also trying 'cpg14x_'
it took my past the login:

Coppermine critical error:
The group table does not contain the Anonymous group !

(this is upon running update.php)

Please see that (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,67137.msg336588.html#msg336588) thread. Please explain there what exactly you have done (upgrades, bridging, etc.). I personally never had that error message, but it seems to happen for some users. Maybe we can add a fix for that if we can localize the problem.

Thank You for your assistance,
but it no longer makes sense to do that.

The album directory was cleared.
I have to start over.

I have become insane.

It seems I completely hallucinated my files being gone.
Yesterday, the night and this morning I believe this, working.

So much for business proposal - ha ha ha I'm going crazy!
If I had some time to relax from this, I would get well.

I have seen the computer do strange things, and I guess hallucination would be the easiest explanation.
In any case, they are there.  The Gallery is showing a different prompt, although nothing was changed:
it made sense with the files being gone, and I didn't really think about it, not knowing the software.
It was a simple suggested-hack 'not even anonymous Users allowed' kind of error, before.

My body shuts down if I try to think about it.
It is not a good idea to fix it now.

until later.
