After I Upgraded from 1.2.1 to 1.3.0 (stable), and ran update.php.. I try to access my gallery and all I get returned is:
Fatal error :
There was an error while processing a database query
http://www.skylinedesigns.net/foto/foto-gallery/
Anyone know what could be causing this?

Your update.php script is from 1.2.1. Did you download the correct package, follow instructions in the /docs folder, etc.? Also, did you remember to backup your config.inc.php file and your album folder?
-
I downloaded straight from the link in the thread GauGau made:
http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=6758.0
That package said "cpg1.3.0.zip" so I assume it's the right one.
Yes I followed all the update instructions in the docs folder too, as well as backed up all the neccessary items.

OK, I don't went wrong with the first four times I re-uploaded the files, but it now magically all works.. thanks!
-
I've got the exact same error.
Followed instructions, verified the albums folder and include/config.inc.php are the ones backed up and that the update.php file is directly from the new package. Any other ideas?

another user reported that his ftp software "miraculously" didn't replace files (and didn't prompt him), so I suggest you create a temp folder on your local hard drive, download your coppermine gallery from your webserver to the temp dir on your pc and use a diff viewer to compare both the original files from the package and the stuff on your server. I'm quite sure the files are different.

Ok, assuming that there are files not being replaced by copying the new version: I deleted the whole directory, recreated it and uploaded the new version except the albums. Then copied the backups of the albums and include/config.inc.php back in. Still getting the same
Fatal error:
There was an error while processing a database query
btw: I can remove the whole directory and copy the original back and it still works.
-
Did you actually run the update.php?
-
Yes, each time I copied or uploaded files for the upgrade.
-
I am having this problem aswell. I have no idea what is causing it, I will try re-uploading the files.

Please give a link, and any error messages.
