Hi.
I've set in configuration that guests are allowed to rate and comment my albums, but I still cannot see icons for that when going through my pictures.
Rating and comments don't show neither for guest nor when I'm logged in.
Every possible setting I've found is on.

I've set in configuration.........
- Have you set permissions in group manager?
- Have you set permissions for each album?
- Have you read your document package?

2) when I check "guest can comment and rate pictires boxes" in album setting and save the settings it always disappear when I open it again in future

2) Clear your cache, use a different browser, don't leave "remember forms", etc turned on

Post a screenshot (attach it to your posting) that shows your gallery's groups control panel (http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/groups.htm#group_cp) (temporarily switch to English before you do that by following this link: http://www.vlkoun.cz/gallery/groupmgr.php?lang=english, switch back afterwards by going to http://www.vlkoun.cz/gallery/?lang=xxx). Post a screenshot as well of the album properties screen (http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/albums.htm#album_prop) of at least one album where the user is supposed to be able to rate and comment.

I'm attaching screens.
The problem probalby is, that when click yes at "visitors can rate files" ans save the setting it will stay blank next time.

A test user account with album creation and upload privileges might help.

Sorry. I need to see the columns 'comments' and 'votes' of the albums table. Your screen shot has to look similar to my attachment.

The logging is down :(
I have no idea what to do now. I've changed my admin password to a different one which doesn't work.
I've tried three times to click on "I've forgot my password" button. Passwords sent to me by CPG don't work to.
Now I'm totally screwed.
I wonder if I'm that stupid or what? But I had no problems last year with 1.4x version though :(

Something is definitely wrong in your gallery. Please install a second test gallery and try if your issues occurs there, too.

New gallery works fine so far. It seems that a I'm an SQL novice. I've propably set up database wrong again :(
MySQL connection collation has to be UTF. That important information is missing in docs. I found it at forum board. You should add it to install infos for newbies like me.

BTW, it's really strange that wrong collation caused only some specific problems with logging, commenting and rating but gallery itself worked :o

I claim that the collation wasn't the culprit of your problems. The collation affects only the ordering of your search results inside the database.
