Title: Cheap way to backup all photos
Post by: pengyou on June 17, 2010, 04:19:04 pm
I have searched both this forum and the web and it seems that there is no button to click on to download all photos at one time.  Is this true?

If so, I am wondering, if I uninstall the CM from my webspace, will it only leave the photos on the space - then I can use a server function and download them enmasse?  Kind of like a neutron bomb, deleting the software but leaving the data files standing.

Yes.

All files you have uploaded reside in Coppermine's albums folder.
then I can use a server function and download them enmasse?
Sure, that magic server function is called "FTP".

Kind of like a neutron bomb, deleting the software but leaving the data files standing.
Erm, you better review the overall concept of web-driven apps like Coppermine.

If you want details, play by the rules (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,55415.msg270616.html#msg270616).

Thanks!  What is the name of the file that contains all of the photos?  If I have that, I can ftp them to my computer and don't have to delete CM in the process?
