Title: Yet another IE Cookie problem...
Post by: BVE_Fan on June 01, 2010, 04:04:31 am
Forgive me if this has been posted somewhere, but I have searched the boards for my problem and while I found some threads similar to my problem, they do not address how to solve them adequately.

The problem lies with users who use Internet Explorer.  I tried using Internet explorer 6 and when I do, I get the following error message at the top of the login screen:

"Warning your browser does not accept script's cookies "

I tried to login and it would login to my gallery for a few seconds, then it goes back to the login screen without actually logging in. I have tried to clear cookies and reduce my security settings, but still get the same error as above.

Also, there is an attached screenshot of the error message on my gallery in Internet Explorer.

This only occurs in Internet Explorer and not in other web browsers that I have tried.

My gallery is located at http://sim_blogger.byethost17.com/coppermine/

Specify a non-admin test user account if you have authentification issues and expect help on the support board.

Message appears for me using Firefox as well. There is a redirect in place that should not be there - not sure what you actually did there; check for custom .htaccess files. There is as well a warning about an attempted security policy violation, so as far as I can see your site is infected. The cookie error should not be a problem you should look into, as it probably is only a result of the infection. Take a look at Yikes, I've been hacked! Now what? Just checked and I do not see a .htaccess file within my files.

I am using firefox 3.6.3 and I am not getting the error message.

Should I try the instructions anyway?

Definitely, that's why I posted them.
