Title: Emails not being sent :(
Post by: varadarajanvignesh on May 21, 2010, 07:56:43 pm
Hi,

I am using:
Coppermine version: 1.4.26(stable)

URL:
http://www.myvignesh.com/Wallpapers/

With email debug info:

email
------------------
Directive | Local Value | Master Value
sendmail_from | no value | no value
sendmail_path | /usr/sbin/sendmail -t -i | /usr/sbin/sendmail -t -i
SMTP | localhost | localhost
smtp_port | 25 | 25
==========================

I am a novice in PHP.

I have tried leaving the SMTP settings blank and I have tried using  SMTP Server credentials (gmail).
No matter whatever I do, the email is not sent and always "no value" is there (sendmail_from | no value | no value).
If you could help  me out, I would appreciate it.

I am also attaching screen-shots for General settings and SMTP settings.

Dod you change the email addy in the screensh just to keep yours secret or is that actually what you have in your config?

It needs to be an email address you actually have control over. Your webhost certainly doesn't allow you to send emails using an email address you don't have control over. Re-post the screenshot from above that shows your current settings.

Supplying gmail credentials usually is not an option. Ask your webhost what credentials you need to apply (if any).

So what? Who said that there needs to be a value there?

No PHP skills needed (as they wouldn't help at all). When in doubt, you need to ask your webhost, not us.
