Title: [Closed]: 2nd Forum Screwed Everything Up
Post by: dawnswebdesigns on April 25, 2010, 08:32:30 am
I have the following issue when trying to bridge Coppermine and SMF:

I did this yesterday or the day before & everything was fine.  But today I'm "cleaning house".  I want my biz site in the main directory & it is.  I have a vBulletin forum @ http://dawnswebdesigns.com/forum I'm getting ready to dump.  But since it's there & I'm copying from it I had to put my new SMF forum @ http://dawnswebdesigns.com/board.

I also had a WordPress blog I decided to give up to the family for family stories.  So I moved it from /blog to /family/blog.  So I'll have my biz site under main dir, 1 SMF forum under /board & 3 sites including another SMF forum under /family/something.

Once I uploaded & installed this 2nd SMF forum the bridge quit working.  But to be honest I'm surprised it worked in the first place.  If you'll look @ the coppermine install & the forum install...shouldn't the relative path be ../family/forum/?  But when I try that it tells me: /family/forum/Settings.php doesn't exist. Correct the value you entered for Relative path to your BBS's config file.  So I tried ../forum/ & it worked until I uploaded this 2nd SMF.

Any help would be much appreciated.  :)

Coppermine install: http://www.dawnswebdesigns.com/family/gallery/
Forum install: http://www.dawnswebdesigns.com/family/forum/
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.26
Forum version: SMF 1.1.11
Test user account: test / temp

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL: http://www.dawnswebdesigns.com/family/forum
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../forum/
Use post-based groups?: Yes
Cookie name/prefix (if applicable)

PS...if I'm not logged into my 2nd forum @ http://dawnswebdesigns.com/board...it works.  But if I log in it quits.  I tried changing my username (at the 2nd forum) to see if that would help.  It does not.

Could this be because both smf forums are likely using the same cookie?

I was the only one who registered for the gallery.  After the bridge my kid joined the forum & posted pics in the gallery.  When I undo the bridge her albums are turned over to Mr. X.

If we can't fix this & I have to get the member's of the forum to register for the gallery...how will I turn my kid's user gallery, albums & pics back over to her?

@ Joachim Müller: sir you need a vacation.

Instead of answering this thread...how long did it take you to cuss me out in the last one?  Indeed...how much time are you wasting cussing everybody out rather then just answering the question?

I'm deleting this gallery rather then ever come back here again.  Good luck.

OK, fine. Farewell. Locking and marking accordingly.
