Title: Can someone sort my thumbnails out?

I've looked around & cant seem to find something to help me out,, I'm so sorry if this has been posted before.

Okay, all my 'new' uploads, have nice, sharpened thumbnails, however the older uploads haven't changed, even when I've reset all the thumbnails etc in Admin tools.

Anyone know how to help me out?

You are currently running at a huge risk of getting hacked.

The current stable release is 1.4.26 so as you can see, you are a long way behind.

Phill for me the site is running cpg1.4.26. (as showned by the doc). Maybee in the sourcecode you will see the stramm modpack's coppermine version...

Post by: phill104 on February 16, 2010, 06:25:30 pm: I checked from update.sql earlier today as well ad the footer of the source, both show 1.4.24. I should have checked further as they could be down to the modpack so my bad.

I have updated the modpack and attached it to this post. Please use with care as I have not fully tested. Usual things, backup your database etc.

Once you have installed the modpack re-run update.php then run admin tools to re-create your thumbs. If they are not re-creating then there must be a permissions problem so check ownership and chmod etc.

I installed that stramm pack, & tried re-doing just one album of thumbnails that weren't 'right'. That didn't work, so I'm currently setting the CHMOD every single file in the albms folder to 777,, is that right?

Some ftp apps and some cplanels say you have changed them even when you haven't Sometimes the hosts seem to think they are getting a warm fuzzy feeling by not allowing 777 when in fact it makes little difference. If it still doesn't work then you will probably have to chat to your host to get the files set to an owner that does have permission to write to them.

Most of them work, bar a few FTP folders & Ive made sure they are all set to 777, is there something I'm missing/need to do to those specific folders?

Post by: phill104 on February 19, 2010, 10:23:09 pm: It is probably something your host has done with ownership of the folders. Your only option is to speak to them as the script cannot write to those due to settings your host or you have made. Sorry I cannot say anything more.

I emailed my host they said they had set all the perrmissions to 777 etc & it still isnt working, is there anything else she needs to do?
