Title: Gallery with blank background and no borders
Post by: Triangel on January 13, 2010, 03:17:23 pm
Hi,

I have a coppermine gallery running for almost 4 months.
It worked fine and was installed with version cpg1.4.25 and Dutch language.
I just noticed that the gally looks very odd. See attachement Bad Coppermine and good coppermine.
There is a blank (white) background with only text and some pictures. There are no borders or colours.
I've spend hours on this forum.
I've followed your Topic: Yikes, I've been hacked! Now what? but couldn't find malicious files. I replaced the files that were not matching but no solution.
When I run update.php there is a background and borders.
The problem sill stays.

It looks like you have located theme.php in your gallery root [....w.kbtriangel.be/cpg/theme.php]

Remove it and any other theme related files from the gallery root. Theme files belong in their respective theme directories.

Run versioncheck.php and correct any errors you see there. It looks like you have at least one file corrupt.

Thanks for the support!

Joe: Sorry but there are no 'theme related' files in the root

Phill: Did a check (see attachment) but did not see dramatic things. Uploaded the missing files but nothing changes. I assume that the red pencils at the directories are OK (The permissions are 755)?

One other thing: I can't change the language English or whatever. In admin.php, I change the language and click the save button. The next screen is: Coppermine settings are saved, Click to continue... Bu the language stays Dutch.

Any other ideas ?

The languages issue is unrelated. Please read the docs regarding this and you will see what is happening and that it is normal behavior.

As for your problem, try following the upgrade procedure using a fresh copy of coppermine downloaded from this site.

I uploaded the install files to a new cpg directory.
Copied the config.inc.php and anycontent.php to the correct location
Copied the albums
Opened the file update.php

EVERYTHING WAS BACK OK!

Thank you for the support !

Thanks for resolving your thread, but that's not an upgrade as we suggest. You did it otherwise, which is not recommended at all. If it works for you, then fine. But for all others who might come across this thread: don't do it the way that Triangel suggested, but instead do as we suggest in the upgrade instructions of the docs (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#upgrade).

Joachim,

First, I followed the steps in the upgrade instructions but this didn't work.
That was the reason i decided to try it in another way.

Thanks
