Title: [Solved]: minicms documentation
Post by: michelon on October 08, 2009, 11:38:48 am
Hi,
the last two days I did my first steps with coppermine. Its a really nice toy. Since I like to add some additional pages such as "Imressum" or "About" I came to minicms. However, I cant find the documentation because there might have occured some mistakes with the page http://cpg-contrib.org/
Can anybody help me by telling me where else I can find the documentation? If there is something in german I'd prefer it but its not necessary. Reading english is easier than talking or even writing it  ;D
Thank You

There is no documentation available. That plugin get's supported only over at cpg-contrib.org. We're aware that that site is down, but you can't blame us for that. Seems like it was abandoned.

What a pitty. Is there any other possibility to add some additional pages in an easy way like it is supposed to be with minicms? Or is there anybody who can tell me how to work with minicms. In my opinion the readme given with the plugin is rather short. to short for me  :-\

The MiniCMS plugin will not add new pages, but only content on existing pages. If you just need additional pages, just do as suggested in many threads:You'll have to add your newly added pages to the menu. There are a lot of threads that explain how to add new menu items, please use the search.

Not really !

1/ Click MiniCMS Admin button
2/ Go to the end of this page => "New Content Title"
3/ Add your title and click 'e' icon and edit your page.
4/ Save your new page.
5/ Return to MiniCMS admin page search the list for your new page and copy her URL.
    something like that galerie/index.php?file=minicms/cms&id=1
6/ Now you can point to this new page from everywhere you want.

My personnal example, just created for this thread =>
http://www.pays-dignois.com/galerie/index.php?file=minicms/cms&id=115

Cheers

OK, you never stop learning. Thanks for your explanation, Pascal. However, you still need to create a menu item that will send users to that new page, correct?
