Title: [Solved]: SMF/Coppermine Integration Redirect Problem
Post by: reddragon300 on July 09, 2009, 05:51:24 pm
I have the following issue when trying to bridge coppermine and SMF

Hi,

I installed Copermine on my site through Fantastico, I bridged it to SMF, and I'm using TinyPortal.

Everything seems to work fine, except that when I go to log into the gallery, I get the log-in page from SMF (as I should) and then I log-in and get redirected to the forum, and I'm not logged into the gallery. When I go back to the gallery, I'm STILL not logged in. The test account works for the forum, I can't tell if it works on CopperMine because I can't get into it, the redirect is not letting me logged in

Coppermine install: http://iheft.ca/lkaygallery
Forum install: http://iheft.ca/leslikay
Coppermine version: 1.4.20
Forum version: SMF 1.1.9 / TinyPortal 1.0 Beta 4
Test user account: TestAccount / pass: 123456

I THINK this is what I put, I can't remember and not sure in what PHP file to look.
BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://iheft.ca/leslikay
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../leslikay/
Use post-based groups?:  0
Cookie name/preifx (if applicable)

Oh, sorry I also wanted to ask how I can integrate this into the site better.

Thanks :)

Disable local cookies in SMF.

Hi Nibbler,

I tried this. It didn't change anything, I did it on IE and Firefox and cleared my cache on both.

Login now works, but you should enable subdomain independent cookies to make it more reliable. You should be cleaning your cookies not your cache.

Super! Thank you so much  :D :D

Is there any way to get it to show up with the rest of my site instead of going to another page?

Create a coppermine theme that matches your forum's theme. But that question should be posted in a thread of it's own, as it's not bridging related.
