Title: Final Extract Plugin Installed & Working Fine While Ad-Plugin Is Unseen
Post by: Saif on July 04, 2009, 09:34:58 am
http://www.orangewallpapers.com

Today morning I installed Final extract plugin & is working absolutely fine. I chose plugin manager -> browse -> upload & hit (i) to install.
Now I uploaded another plugin called Ad plugin the same way, plugin manager -> browse -> upload but i can't see it in plugin manager so unable to install..
i checked the plugin folder thru FTP software & I can see all the extracted files of Ad plugin in plugins folder.

what is wrong & how to install this ad-plugin ?

thank you.

you must have a sub folder for each plugin with all folders  files a in this sub folder:
you should extract the ad_plugin files in a folder named ad_plugin and put this folder into your server plugin folder

made a sub-folder with name : ad_plugin, this time its viewable in plugin manager, after clicking (i), i get this message :

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'plugins/copper_ad/include/init.inc.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/orangewa/public_html/plugins/ad_plugin/codebase.php on line 36

it seems you have to rename the ad_plugin directory to copper_ad

If you don't want to upgrade as you were asked to do yesterday, then you should start preparing to backup your Coppermine before you get hacked instead of bothering with a plugin.

<!--Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.4.20 (stable)-->

sorry about that..

i upgraded now but it still shows me :

You have currently installed: 1.4.20
If you think this is entirely wrong and you're supposed to be running a higher version of Coppermine, you probably haven't uploaded the most recent version of the file include/init.inc.php

seems you have not updated your gallery. Make sure to do exactly what is  explained in the doc http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#14 (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#14)

don't upload via plugin manager, but via FTP
Before, look in the plugin table if the copper_ad plugin entry is deleted.

cannot delete all the files, 2 folders still remaining, from the copper_ad plugin folder :

1. pic folder with 1 img
2. flash folder with flash file

tried few other ftp clients but unable to remove these 2 folders inside the copper_ad folder, i have to rename the copper_ad folder to 11 now cuz if this directory remains with the name, site gives a critical error...
