I would like to italicise the text information on the thumbnails gallery page.
I have tried adding a BB code to the image editing information ***, but the code only works on the main gallery image and not the thumbnails.
Is there a way I can use BB code on the thumbnail pages?

Just use CSS and assign
font-style:italic;
to the class in question. For details, post details (refer to board rules (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,55415.msg270616.html#msg270616)).

does this method change the whole of the text information too italic?
in my case I just want to change one or two random words too italic.

You won't get an answer if you ignore my advice. Re-read my posting and do as I suggested.

sorry about that.
My board is running the latest version of coppermine 1.4.25

I cannot get the bbcode to work on the thumbnails pages. When I use a bbcode it only works on the main image page.
For example on image No: 341.060
http://cdhs.freepgs.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=8&page=3 there is no italic on "Bryndulais Hotel" but if you click on the main image http://cdhs.freepgs.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=8&pos=111 the bbcode is working.
So is there a way that I can introduce a bbcode on individual words on the thumbnail pages description?
