Sorry there is no album where you are allowed to upload files -
Admin can upload, other users can't. Admin in User mode can not. Categories are created, albums are created.
"Visitors can upload files" is enabled
When I go to groups, and click Assigned Albums, i get:
"This group has no special access"
I've been reading this forum (just registered to post) and the documentation but I haven't found anything yet. :/
URL is http://PuddleBook.com

Hi,
I'm currently facing exactly the same problem. I have a test installation and recognized that even though the group has uploads enabled, they cannot upload to public folders. Only to user folders, if enabled. If does not matter if the user is member of the default registered group or it is a self created group.
Regards, Thomas

So, create one.
@tofo: It's not the same problem. Create your own thread to ask for help.

There are, there is:
69 albums and 3 categories
next?

next?
"Sorry there is no album where you are allowed to upload files"
Is there any album with upload permission set (from the properties of the album) to yes? Because I think not. ::)
-
Is this what you would be referring to?
(https://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi631.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fuu36%2Fayelwen%2FImage1.jpg&hash=e622946205855a10370d8f39ff5fd0b52e654bce)
Yea, I have it turned on :/
-
Users must have upload privileges
Allow them to upload in public album through group manager

No.
@fangweile: No.
As I said:

Board rules (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,55415.msg270617.html#msg270617)!
As Fabricio suggested: album properties! RTFM (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#album_prop)!
-
I RTFM...
http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#album_prop
Visitors can upload files ENABLED.
http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#group_cp
Public Albums Upload YES
That is done. Been done.
Is there any album with upload permission set (from the properties of the album) to yes? Because I think not. ::)
As for board rules, they say do not post PHP or EXE files, i didn't. (-_-)'
As for the "is this what you are referring to?" and you said no, that is the Album properties page, as shown in your FM:
http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#album_prop

Post a screenshot of the album properties screen that shows you have allowed uploads to that album. Post a screenshot of the groups control panel.
Also upgrade - you have cpg1.4.21, while the most recent stable release currently is cpg1.4.22
I can see that you have enabled at least one plugin that inteferes with uploads, temporarily disable that to make sure it doesn't intefere.

A quota of 0 KB might slow one down a bit. Try raising it. Permissions to edit the file info. with the name and password you gave seemed to be functional.

Don't be a silly billy i-imagine. A quota of 0k means unlimited in this case.
Ayelwen,
Please upgrade to 1.4.22 as Joachim suggested and we can then take a look.
-
Apologies for the misdirected advice :)
-
Ive upgraded to:
You have currently installed: 1.4.24
Same problem. :/
-
With a successful upgrade you should now look into the threads below and if you need more help post accordingly.
There are guidelines for posting help requests with your specific problem.
Other people have had the same issue very recently and you can see how it has been resolved.

I looked through those things you linked, and I read nothing but threads where people could actually choose a file to upload and it fails or something.
Mine is not that problem. Please read my entire thread if you haven't. If you have read it, I'll clarify:
For users, like the test account provided in the first post (per guidelines) you click "Upload File" and it says:
Error
Sorry there is no album where you are allowed to upload files
When in admin account, I check groups:
Public Album Upload = Allowed
When I check Album Properties:
Visitors can upload files = Yes
When I check groups assigned albums:
This group has no special access
Sorry to be frank, this is a loooong time running here. Its not a upload failure, its a upload not allowed.
-
You will need to follow the steps outlined in the section
Upload troubleshooting (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#upload_trouble)
The next section's guidelines need to be followed too.
Turning on debug and setting up the user account as spelled out there will help you to get helped.

The screenshot you posted above shows that you have assigned an album password for the album in question. Not a clever idea and probably the reason for your issues. Create at least one public album with upload privileges set to yes that is not password-protected.
Joachim
P.S. Unrelated: please turn off the vanity icon display in coppermine's config. Your site doesn't validate, so it looks silly to display the w3c validity icons

THANK YOU!! After you mentioned that, I knew i had never set a password on any of the albums. I went and looked and my browser is set to remember my login password to the site, and its inputting my password there! Now I get to go remove all these passwords from all the albums...

You look to be back in business! - out of curiosity I have just uploaded a file/pic that is awaiting approval.
There seemed to be no problem.
Please, can you mark your thread as solved?
-
Yes, I saw that approval request and of course, closed it. Ill change the topic now! Thanks!
-
i-imagine asked you to resolve your thread (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,55415.msg270631.html#msg270631):
Please, can you mark your thread as solved?
So why don't you?

I thought I did, lemme try again >.>
