Rather than modifying the code it is probably easier to use the edit files button.

In admin mode you should see three buttons, Delete, Properties and Edit files. The latter brings up al list of all files in that album and each has the option to delete it. It is the fastest way to delete lots of pics from an album.

The link you posted is for a password protected album. As Phil already said it takes modifying core code to get a delete button underneath all displayed thumbnails in the thumbnail view of a album. There is afaik no such hack or mod around so you wil either have to code it yourself or find someone who can code it for you. Or use the method that works, which is described by Phil.

Besides that you need to upgrade to 1.4.22 asap.

Look, why don't you do as suggested? Phill told you what you need to do. If that's not enough for you and you need a delete button next to the thumbnail, then you'll have to code that, as it's not a feature of coppermine, no matter how hard you may want it. Whisfull thinking usually isn't enough.
