Title: Writing or contributing plugins
Post by: Joachim Müller on March 28, 2009, 01:17:11 pm
For those of you who want to write a plugin (http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/dev_plugins.htm#plugin_writing) of their own, there are some sections in the documentation for cpg1.5.x (http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/index.htm) that explain what you need to know: there is a list of plugin hooks (http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/dev_plugin_hooks.htm#plugin_hooks), a tutorial that explains how to write a plugin (http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/dev_plugin_api.htm).
If you plan to release your plugin later, you should take a look at the naming conventions (http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/dev_plugins.htm#plugin_writing_naming_conventions).
Regular users can not start new threads on the plugin contributions sub-board to avoid this bord to get cluttered with plugin requests. If you have written a plugin and want to contribute it to the community, start a thread of your own within the support board, attaching your plugin to your announcement thread. A moderator will move the thread to the plugin contributions board if applicable.
