Title: Spam Entrys

Hello all,

my coppermine-driven site is being used by German-speaking visitors exclusively. Lately, a user from China has registered and later posted roughly 40 spam comments although I have implemented Captcha. The website that corresponds to the spammer's email address seems to be http://bokequnjian.cn/gallery.htm
Could someone who speaks Chinese please tell me roughly what that page is about in reference to Coppermine?
Please reply in plain English - I had this message translated for me, as I don't speak English at all.

Sorry, the address of the gallery is www.hdrfoto.at.
The entries were made with the e-mail-address riben@bokequnjian.cn as user klmn479.
I have killed all entrys.

To repel spam messages you could use the Captcha plugin and disabled comment ability for guests. Your site is running 1.4.20 so that is ok. Don't know what use it to know what the chinese site is about but if Capri does not respond you could always try babelfish.

looks like a hosting company in china for people to host their galleries on their servers.

Why get a customer of hosting company an e-mail-adress from that hosting company? Or is it a normal process in China?
The address riben@bokequnjian.cn is clearly from the hosting company and not from the customers domain or website!!!

i'm not sure if I understand the question. i didn't see the spam so can't be sure, but sounds like riben@bokequnjian.cn works for that hosting company and was spamming your gallery to get people to visit their site.

It is an AD program.To post his website to your Gallery.His website Rank upgraded when Search Engine find your page.
Sometime they will post AD to your website.So you can see something likes "wow gold" in your website.
