Title: moving to another server Did I do it right??
Post by: spinning on February 11, 2009, 11:38:14 am: You can read a lot about moving your coppermine to another server, its look easy but I wanne know if I did it right.
I get NO ERROR, but by another script I had to change more then I did here, so I ask by myselfes if it is O.

1. download from old server to hard disk.
2. in php myadmin from old server I make a backup of all files files (coppermine)
3. change the config.inc settings
$cfg['hostname'] = 'localhost'; // database host
$cfg['dbuser'] = 'deb******'; // database username
$cfg['dbpass'] = '22****'; // database password
$cfg['dbname'] = 'deb'; // database name
4. upload all files (incl. new config.inc) to new server
5. chmod the maps include and albums to 777
6. upload in phpmyadmin the sql file to new server.

I guess thats all that I had to do.

My questions

My old coppermine was http://forumgallery.kellystart.com/
Now it will be http://www.ikf-forum.com/forumgallery
Do I had to change somewhere the name of the directory??

Am I forgotten something else anywhere??

Upgrade to 1.4.20 a.s.a.p.
