Post by: olti on January 13, 2009, 02:56:50 pm
Searchig my CPG gallery in Google found some strange url like this one here here /thumbnails-search-xii/displayimage
Entering the gallery from this url the template is deformed too.

I use the latest version of CPG and it is bridget with Joomla.

The latest version is 1.4.19. You are using <!--Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.4.9 (stable)--> at this moment. Upgrade a.s.a.p.

I have upgraded my CPG everytime, but changing only the lines of code that are upgraded, not the whole gallery.

The prefered method of upgrading is a full upgrade. Use the replacement of only the lines when you have a heavily modified cpg.

Just a little edited fit my sites design. The link is there as you can see.

From Docs and According to GNU GPL v3, section 7 b):

Quote
The Coppermine group (aka Coppermine Dev Team) requires the preservation of the "Powered by Coppermine" footer in a legible, unobscured manner in the output of all pages generated by Coppermine-driven galleries.
This policy may be subject of change in future versions. It has originally been made a requirement by the initial author of the first version of Coppermine. We ask you (the end user) to respect this policy and keep the footer intact.

So,

No "Powered By Coppermine" -> no support!

 :)

As Fabricio suggested: you're not allowed to edit it and we don't care if the link is still there and just is named differently. We want it to be restored as it used to be. Not too much asked for. In fact, it's part of the license, so you better restore it as it used to be.
The site in question is http://www.galeriashqiptare.net/ btw., where you appear to be running cpg1.4.9, so I hope you will get the punishment you deserve if you do not restore the credits as you're suppossed to.

The thread starter hasn't restored the "Powered by Coppermine" tag, but has been posting in other threads on this board since he has been told about the license and board rules regarding that footer. He is a jerk in my opinion.

Olti, you are banned permanently from this forum. You are not allowed to re-register. Either restore the full visibility of the "Powered by Coppermine" tag on your site or stop using Coppermine.

Locking.
