Hi all
I recently changed the FTP server password for my site after recuperating from a hacker attack. I recall that I was able to batch upload files after changing passwords. Just days ago, however, I was unable to access anything. When attempting to call up the .index.php page, I get a blank page. Initially the page was redirecting to a custom 404 error page I created. I am posting this as a last resort and hopefully it will help someone else who may have or will experience similar issue.

First thing you should do is post a link. Due to the current world shortage of crystal balls it is very hard to look into a problem without seeing it ;)

Sounds like something you need to ask your host about.
Perhaps some files are missing if you are getting a 404 Error.

Here's something that we can all make note of. Make sure to stay abreast of changes your host makes, such as updating the server (eg. making changes or updating an Apache server). In my instance, it made a HUGE difference and prevented me from accessing the cpg files. I was getting a blank page. Not all hosts tell you when they make such major changes, so it pays to contact your particular hosting company and find out what has been or will be changed shortly that will effect your site in any way.

Thanks Phil and PersianPrince for advising. It indeed was a server issue (host made changes and didn't give notification nor post it on cpanel).
