I have been using CPG stable version successfully for sometime. I seek help if there is any means to display pdf files of images. I am not very sure if this has been put forth in the forum.
Thanks.

If you've ghostscript installed... yes
There's a hack in the mods/ hacks board as far as I remember. I've written a lil hack as well but not published it yet. It just creates a thumb/ intermediate image of the first page in the document.

Dear Stramm,
I would appreciate if you could direct me to that mod forum.
Thanks.

here you go:
The initial (outdated) mod:

A newer discussion + (I hope) thumb generation... if that's not to be found there, I'll post my version

You might also want to have a look at Scribd Document Viewer Plugin (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,54456.0.html)

I have not tested the 1.4 version of nibblers pdf mod yet, but would like to try.
Is the mod platform independent?
cpg-contrib forum suggests also using xpdf and has a nice piece of code.

Scribd looks great for displaying pdfs, but does not generate images.
Would like to see what Stramm has too...
