I got this, but don't know how to do it - which folder do I have to cmod? Is this automated?
Warning: the script can't write in this directory, you need to change its mode to 755 or 777 before trying to add the files !
I am trying to add files to:
Put files of "Windows/Windows Se7en/Widescreen Resolution/" into Windows
but I received error from
Windows/Windows Se7en/Widescreen Resolution/ 1680X1050.jpg Windows click for details or to reload
when I click for detail: Error executing ImageMagick - Return value: 1
Any idea, please?
PS: Using HTTP upload is fine.

There is no CHMOD command on Windows. Did you read the permissions section of the docs (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#permissions)? Did you read the FAQ (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/faq.htm) articles that are related to ImageMagick?

Don't read me wrong. Windows here is just my album name.
I check the Cmod of Albums folder and it is set to 777 already.
PS: I used to run into this problem in which Cmod is not automated in Wordpress plugin automatic update that I had to do it manually. I wonder if this happens with Coppermine, too. The child directory seems not inherit the Cmod.
-
All uploaded folders/child folders under albums should be writable (CHMOD 777 or 755)
-
As you suggested, I got to check the folders again, and noticed that all folders Cmod to 755. But the problem is when I check the property of each file there, it is 644. It doesn't matter how I tried to Cmod the folder, the files were still 644 till I got to Cmod the files, too.
How do we Cmod the folder and have the files inside inherit it?
Thanks in advance.
-
644 is ok for files
try to chmod folders to 777, maybe it works
-
Now trying again...
Will report back if this works.
-
It works, man it works!
Thx

Maybe I spoke too soon. Though the Cmod to 777 works, but if I tried to add a folder with more than 200 pictures, it just returned back to the search page.
Anyway, I tried to select only 50 pictures each time, but it returned the same result - turned back to the search page.
My folder structure:
albums/GameWallpapers10Packs\GameWallpapersPart1
Any help with this, plz?
PS: I tried again with .zip file, but it just showed the .zip file, not the pictures in it?

What you tried to do is not a feature of coppermine.
My folder structure:
albums/GameWallpapers10Packs\GameWallpapersPart1
Mind the usage of slash and backslash
If you need help, do exactly as suggested in the docs, section "asking for support on upload issues".
-
Opp, sorry for mistake of folder structure as I copied from the desktop.
Anyway, it is albums/GameWallpapers10Packs/GameWallpapersPart1
I have just tried one more time is to select only 1 file to be added, but it can't be done though I chose different albums. Then I tried with another folder in my ftp, and it works. Can this because of my folder structure?
Thanks and sorry for mistakes.

Yes, maybe. Post a deep link to one of the files that you're having issues with. Avoid capitalization and special chars.

Here it is http://totalcollection.info/albums/game10packs/game01/
I tried removing cap, but still not work.
Can I send you the login info then, so you can see it in action?
-
this is exactly as my issue posted. After selecting the files to be added in an album it returns to the searchnew.php page.

@guanaco: stick to your own thread (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,55451.0.html).
@totalcollection: PM me a coppermine admin account and FTP access details please.
-
Thank you, PM sent.

Batch-adding files from folders where only a few files reside in works fine, while it doesn't work for folders that contain lots of pics. Your server is very slow - it takes ages to populate screens. I suggest adding less files into one folder (i.e. create sub-folders) and/or increasing the webserver resources by talking to your webhost about a more powerfull webserver setup (i.e. sign up for better webhosting).
-
Thx. Will try splitting those files.
Again, thanks so much for giving some of your time.
