Title: Picture to another album
Post by: hl90 on August 23, 2008, 12:45:30 am
How can I move a picture in an album to another album without deleting it first and uploading it again?
I want that they picture will have the same views before and will also moved to the other album in ftp.
Is that possible? Thanks in advance.

Click on "edit files", then use the dropdown named "album", pick the target album from that list and apply your changes. Simple as that. Covered in the docs.

I have already tried that but it won't change in another album in ftp. I think
I saw a while ago a topic about this where it says it was possible but I'm not
sure.

The file's location on the webserver doesn't get moved around. The album structure is a logical one, not a physical one. The file remains where you uploaded it to in the first place. The physical location of the file doesn't matter - coppermine's database keeps track of the location of files, so the human doesn't have to. If you're not happy with that, upload the files to the proper file structure in the first place - there is no workaround for organizing your files properly on the webserver's hard disk.
