Title: [Solved]: Forgot Password
Post by: alohan on June 30, 2008, 10:06:43 pm
I hope this is posted in an okay section but I am having a problem. It's been about a year since I logged into my gallery account for my website and I can not seem to remember my password and I have a new email address and don't remember my old one. Is there anyway to find out my password or just create a whole new admin account? Hope someone can help me, Thanks.

Search the forums for 'lost admin password' or similar. Either set yourself a new password using phpmyadmin or use the adminpass.php script to do it for you.

I downloaded the adminpass.php but how do I use it? I tried putting it into my server under the gallery but when I tried logging in it didn't work, what do I need to do?

Go to adminpass.php in your browser and then login as admin/test

I did, it sort of worked. It said Welcome Admin and everything but once you hit Continue it goes straight back to the home page and I'm not logged in.

Great. Don't forget to delete adminpass.php from your server.

The thread starter failed to post reference to the script adminpass.php that he/she was refering to. For the benefit of others with similar issues, I'm posting the solution here: the file "adminpass.php" is attached to the posting http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,33512.msg158620.html#msg158620
