Title: Gallery Causing Server Overload
Post by: loony on June 25, 2008, 09:46:19 pm
Today I noticed that my dedicated server was running very slow, so I wrote to the support team at my hosting company and they concluded that Coppermine might be slowing everything down. What should I do to prevent my gallery from overloading my server?

Yes, I have gone through the search, but found nothing I could do. Thanks!

Did you?

I just search for "Overload" and I found this:

Yes, I came across that too. So how exactly do you "disable random meta albums?" The link to my gallery is here: http://bellaandedward.com/gallery

It's explained in the docs: http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/faq.htm#NoLastUploads (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/faq.htm#NoLastUploads)  ;)
