Title: Host Change/Photos don't show
Post by: spiritseeker31 on June 21, 2008, 04:18:10 am
I changed hosting companies. I installed coppermine gallery, uploaded the backup. I moved over the folder labled pictures (gallery folder) and I'm still getting the red x's instead of thumbnails and pictures. I know its got to be something easy/stupid that I"m not getting here. Help anyone?  www.megansmadams.com/pictures

Yes, thank you. It listed some as fixed and some that it didn't. There are over 15,000 pictures. But I'm still getting the red x's in the gallery - no photos yet.

The pictures are simply not on the server. Make sure you downloaded all of them and then uploaded all of them.
Title: Thumbnails Aren't Showing

I changed hosting companies and transferred over folders/database. My pictures are showing up but the various sized thumbnails are not. How do I fix this?

Upload the missing images to the webserver.

Use the admin tools to re-create the thumbs and intermediates - it seems that http://www.megansmadams.com/pictures/albums/userpics/004.jpg is there, but http://www.megansmadams.com/pictures/albums/userpics/thumb_004.jpg is not there.

My thumbs and intermediates appear to be here http://megansmadams.com/pictures/albums/userpics/_vti_cnf (with the same file names as the full sized in the uerspics folder).

The link you posted results in an "500 internal server error". Make sure that you set permissions on the albums folder and everything within it as suggested in the docs. Make sure that http uploads work as expected.
