Title: Dynamically resize image to fit to screen.
Post by: Steve1951 on June 16, 2008, 08:03:22 pm
Does Coppermine have an option to dynamically resize an image to "fit to screen" similar to Google Picasa Web Albums?

If not:
Are you planning this feature in a future release?
Is there a "hack" to implement this feature?

I recently installed Coppermine and think it is great - It would be perfect if it had the "fit to screen" option.  I realize this feature could be CPU intensive, the concurrent user count for my site is low.

Thanks,
Steve

Valid suggestion. Moving from misc to feature requests.

Maybe I misunderstood one of the two post. But, isn't the same as: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,2755.html (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,2755.html)

Sorry if I'm making a mistake.

That would be a possible solution, yes. But this is the feature requests board, where requests for features in future versions go into. So basically, the idea is to integrate this suggestion (using the mod you mentioned or some other code that yet needs to be written) into Coppermine's core code.
