Title: Exporting from Coppermine to files/folders
Post by: haydnw on May 23, 2008, 11:22:39 pm
I've just taken control of a website which includes a Coppermine gallery. While it serves its purpose well at the moment, we have a small problem. When the current webmaster was given control of the site, he was presented with a set of images in descriptively-named folders, including the date. He's created various Coppermine albums to reflect these folders, but has subsequently deleted the folders themselves after uploading the images to the gallery. This means that the only way we can get a copy now is to download them from the Coppermine folder of the web server. They come back as a load of folders named things like 10001, 100003, etc, with images from several different albums present in each folder. With 1200 images all mixed up it will take a lot of sorting out and constant reference to the Coppermine albums online to compare each set of images.

I was therefore wondering if there's any way to simply export the original-size images out to the web space, sorted into folders with names which reflect the different Coppermine albums? I've searched both these forums and the wider internet, but haven't found anything that indicates this is possible; any advice would be gratefully received!

Thanks,
Haydn
