Title: Invision Integration /W Redirection hack
Post by: dale on April 08, 2004, 01:26:28 pm
I have finally found a good solution for redirecting back to Coppermine after logging in from the gallery page while using the Invisionboard member integration.

ctiga, has made a small and easy to implement hack for the login.php file found in the sources folder of your board.

I would list it out but its not my mod. You can get it at the link bellow. Note that you must be registered and logged in to ibplanet to download.

There is another mod, it's much bigger and difficult to install, but has more functions.

We know about this mod, has been reported an announced before. We (the dev team) don't approve it, since applying it will require you to re-apply the mod every time the coppermine code changes/improves. There have been users seeking help with this mod, but you have to understand that since we haven't coded it, we don't understand it and therefor can't support it. In other words: if you're going to use this mod, you're on your own...

Would someone be able to post the mod on here, as the ibplanet.com is (still) down.  ???

IBPlanet is not down, it's moved: Invisionize.com (http://www.invisionize.com).
The data bases are moved so you don't need to register again, just use your old username and password.

Since it seems impossilbe to add a new thread as there isnt anything to click... LOL.... I thought I would reply here as it's somewhat related to this topic......

I also use Invision.... I would like to know how I can make it so that users must be logged in to view anything.... If they are not logged in then the gallery will simply send them back to the forum. Is this easily done?

I also have InvisionGallery but it's crap. LOL... I would really rather use Coppermine but I need this ability. I am currently using crude .htaccess hotlink protection to do it... And it's not the way I want to do it. It's sloppy.

Thanks in advance!

@Tim: your question is not related to this issue, you should have started a new thread on the support board. Take a look at http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/faq.php?q=viewThumbnailsOnly#viewThumbnailsOnly

You can't start a new thread on the mods board, as it doesn't deal with mod requests, but only mods that actually exist, that's why only moderators can move threads into the mods board. You could, however, have posted on the support board, as you are actually looking for support. Let's end this discussion now, as it's not related to the threads topic.

it was easy to find, just used the search (http://mods.invisionize.com/db/index.php/a/search) function on the invisionize page: Coppermine Goes Invisionboard 1.1 (http://mods.invisionize.com/db/index.php/f/1447)
Please note that the above hack is not recommended and goes unsupported by the coppermine dev team, as it is known to cause issues (in other words: it's buggy). It's not just a hack, but a port. If you experience any "weird" behaviour, contact the mod author or look for help on the invisionize support boards.
