Title: Random pics from a specific category
Post by: onuzu on April 06, 2008, 02:15:26 pm
Hi all, I need your help. I want my gallery to display random images from a specific category on the main page just like it displays most view, last edited albums, last view, etc.

You can see my gallery at http://lurrenzinc.com/photos

I want the random images from the category at http://lurrenzinc.com/photos/index.php?cat=3

Thanks in advance.

You can do this with the CPMFetch mod, I believe: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,35450.0.html

You can't use cpmFetch on Coppermine-driven pages. CpmFetch is meant for non-coppermine-driven pages.

Is there a way to do this within coppermine? I am curious also.

Take a look at the index page, the section where the random meta album get's defined. You can probably set it to a specific category there.

I have been playing around with cpmFetch, and actually, even though it may have been originally designed for non-coppermine pages, it will work on coppermine pages as well.

It is a great mod.  :)
