I use Seamonkey as my main browser but I setup the site with ie (both browsers latest version)
I set the video's at 800x600 and some when you view them with Seamonkey the width is ok but the height stays at 240 they look fine in ie. I also just tested with firefox and it's the same.

Link?

http://troy.thejunkshop.net/displayimage.php?pos=-61 works as expected for me in IE7. Not sure how seamonkey fits into the plot - after all, it's a suite, so let's not discuss suites (bundles), but browsers. Using a 52 MB test file is a bit too much - a smaller test file would have done the trick just as well.
Here are my results:
Safari crashes.
Opera tells me that I don't have the needed plugin.
Firefox shows a blank placeholder where the movie should be, but with the proper dimensions.
IE 7 is displaying the movie after having downloaded it, using the proper dimensions.

Try this its smaller
http://troy.thejunkshop.net/displayimage.php?album=4&pos=3
I checked it on the other pc's on my network with firefox and the placeholder is right but the video don't expand for the height of the placeholder after the video is loaded. Its looks like its going to play the video in the placeholder but when it loads it does like this image. Yes it works perfect in ie.
[Edit GauGau] Replaced hotlinked image with attachment [/Edit]
Sorry I'm not trying to be a pain I just wanted to get the bug to you. It's just such a nice gallery and I would hate to see some browsers left out.

Confirmed - same thing happens for me using FF. Could you post a screenshot of the edit files dialog for that video?
-
Sure.
-
Everything works as expected using Firefox on Linux, so my guess is that something is wrong with Windows Media player that embedds the image on Windows. Try using another embedded player.
-
Sure.
Troy,
Where in Coppermine are you entering in the values to obtain the video size as found at your Site?
Thanks,
Lyman

Log in as admin.
After the video is installed click it and play it.
Now look under the video there is a edit file info button the size fields are there.
-
Thanks! I happened on that shortly after I made the Post as it turns out.

No problem. ;)

@LGLDSR: this is another fine example of you double-posting (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,52178.0.html), performing thread-hijacking, not reading the docs before asking questions and not resolving your postings.
This is the last warning for you: respect board rules and common sense in the future or you'll get banned permanently. I mean it!

Joachim,
There are times when you are one of the most helpful individuals that I know of as an Admin of a Forum, and then other times you perplex me. ???
If you feel it necessary to ban me for the rest of my natural life, then let your conscience be your guide.
Either way, in the overall scheme of things, life does go on.
All the best,
LGLDSR
