Title: [Solved]: setting a cookie for a custom field in comment box?
Post by: dills84 on April 01, 2008, 04:11:56 am
im curious what i'd need to edit in order to set cookies for custom fields. I added an "email" and "website" field that write to the comments table in the DB in my comments box. But the only field that is "remembered" is the "msg_author" i looked into the java that sets the cookies but i dont understand whats constructing the data that it uses. if anyone could point me in the right direction, that'd be great. Thanks in advance!

Add the info into the $USER array in db_input when the comment is posted and extract it in theme_display_comments(). You should be able to copy/paste from the msg_author stuff and just change the names.
