Hi!. Ok, no idea what is going on here. I have read your troubleshooting doc, and the sticky post but no luck. I have access to php.ini and all looks good, same with folder perms (777).
The weird thing is that the DP icon comes up randomly.. on one go 60% of the images can get the evil DP and on another try 5%.
I checked the debug, but cant see any errors there.
Any ideas?

The test user account you posted doesn't have upload privileges ::). Do exactly as suggested in the upload troubleshooting section of the docs (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#upload_trouble).

Sorry about that. It should work now!
I have followed that guide so the configuration looks good to me.
Please try again.

You haven't done as suggested: number of file uploads is set to 5 (set it to 1), number of uri uploads is set to 3 (set it to 0).
Don't be lazy, test things before posting stuff here. I'm reluctant to do your homework.

Real sorry, i forgot i restored the settings again after trying some more some day ago. Debug is also on now.
I blame the lack of sleep as well as cheap beer.

Regular http uploads worked fine. Send me a PM that contains:
* A link to this thread
* A coppermine admin account
* a deep link to a folder that contains FTP-uploaded images that don't already exist in your database
Upload approx. 10 images using FTP upload into the separate folder mentioned above and don't yet batch-add them.

I forgot to mention in the pm that uploading just a few pictures works. But when i try bigger amounts like 15-30 with batch upload then i start to get the famous red DP icon.

Hi!
First of all, thanks for taking the time to help.
Here is the info:
http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=42827.0
Admin account: ****/****
http://grebo.mine.nu/fester/albums/2007/test/
I did find a way to get it working although not quite the right way.
I add the files with batch upload as usual, then when i get the dupes i delete them.
Then copy back the pics that went missing after that, and chmod/chown them.
Then i use admin tools and "update thumbs and resized photos" and then update about 10 pictures at the time.
That's how i do it atm, but using batch upload and get all added doesn't work unfortunately.
Regards
Peter
Possible culprits:
- Full-Size Photos Access Control v1.2 (http://grebo.mine.nu/fester/index.php?file=control_fullsize/plugin_config). Not sure if it interferes. For troubleshooting purposes, turn it temporarily off and see if this helps
- In your config, you have set "URL of your coppermine gallery folder (no 'index.php' or similar at the end)" to your server's IP address (http://192.168.1.104/fester/), although you access your site using the domain name. This is not a bright thing to do, particularly with a non-routable, private IP address; I changed it to http://grebo.mine.nu/fester/
In case you're actually self-hosted: self-hosting is not recommended, particularly if you have no idea of what you're doing.
I batch-added the files from http://grebo.mine.nu/fester/albums/2007/test/ to the album "070413 Sjön (http://grebo.mine.nu/fester/thumbnails.php?album=902)", which worked flawlessly. You'll have to delete them as you see fit.
The files you batch-add are way to huge; they consume a lot of webspace and lots of resources when batch-adding. You should batch-resize them on your client before uploading, see the corresponding tutorial (http://coppermine-gallery.net/tutorial/)
